We are very fortunate to have an enthusiastic and hard-working FORPS (Friends of Roydon Primary School) Committee.
The FORPS give a lot of time and effort to raise money for our children that will enhance their learning, both in and out of the classroom. Various fund raising events are held throughout the year including: the Christmas Holly Fair, Mother’s Day Afternoon tea, “Easter Eggstravaganza,” Summer Fete, BBQ, Beetle Drives , Bingo evenings, cake sales … the list goes on.
Every year FORPS give money to each class to update reading books and help fund school trips by reducing the cost by up to £10 per child. Other purchases have included a donation to the school mini bus, a new football kit, musical instruments, iPads and an outdoor PA system.
